This book is amazing, I would recommend it to everyone since everyone literally will face offence in their life. It really opened my eyes to see how offence shows and comes in ways that we wouldn’t really notice on a surface level. Amazing obedience to the Holy Spirit Pastor Shelley.

This book is amazing! It opens up about offence in so many different forms, allowing me to identify how offence snuck in, how to watch out for it. Aswell as using scriptures to fall back on when needing to deal with it. The testimonies through out the book also helped me identify offence in my life. Therefore, I thank you for allowing God to use you for this miracle.

This was a delight to read. The flow was easy and clear and you touched on some good eye-catching topics. The prayer and journal at the end is an excellent addition.

In a world increasingly divided by minor grievances and quick tempers, The Danger of Offense by Author Shelley Hibbert emerges as a breath of fresh air, offering profound insights into the art of forgiveness and the necessity of cultivating spiritual resilience against offense within the Church’s walls and beyond. This book not only helps us understand why we can be easily hurt but also provides actionable strategies for being more proactive when it comes to forgiving people around us.

Author Shelley Hibbert draws upon a wealth of experience as a seasoned leader with practical wisdom that will support you to explore the transformative power of forgiveness. One of the book’s standout features is its emphasis on the practical benefits of forgiveness. Author Shelley Hibbert argues that holding onto grudges not only affects our mental health but also our physical well-being. Through engaging examples and relatable stories, author Shelley illustrates how letting go of past grievances can lead to improved relationships and a more peaceful life.

The book is also rich with tools for developing resilience. Techniques such as meditation, affirmations and journaling are presented in a way that is both accessible and actionable. These tools empower readers to build a buffer against the inevitable slights and misunderstandings that come our way, promoting a more balanced and less reactive approach to daily interactions.

In summary, Author Shelley Hibbert emerges as an invaluable resource for anyone looking to experience more of God’s glory in their day-to-day life. Without a doubt, this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to experience the fullness of the promises that they are carrying without any unnecessary wounds. Definitely a book that a mature believer would read twice a year. At the beginning of the year to set their heart in order before the new season and at the end of year to recalibrate their heart when meditating on the triumphs and challenges that they would have encountered in the season behind them

Book cover for The Danger of Offense by Shelley Hibbert

I am pleased that the author, Pastor Shelley Hibbert, took the time to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to put her thoughts and experiences in writing to serve God’s people.

The author’s writing shows that she has had experiences with being offended. However, by leaning on sound biblical teachings and godly counseling, she was able to overcome her fears and emotional trauma. The power of the biblical truths and the power that resonates from using the name of Jesus Christ has broken her bondage and set her back on the right path.

The sound biblical exegesis in this book is the key to understanding the principles about endangering oneself and others with mean words that affect our emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being. Pastor Shelley Hibbert not only mentions the biblical truths that will speak to the offense, but she also discusses the application you can use to break it.

As you read this book, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and open your understanding to be obedient to God’s Word. Becoming obedient to God’s Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you will enable you to stay strong and be an overcomer as Pastor Shelley Hibbert has experienced.

I trust that when you read this book and apply the biblical truths and key principles to your daily lives, they will enhance your spiritual journey, and your life will never be the same.
